BECOMING A STUDENT | 1ST STEP TO BEGIN | HOW TO CONTACT US
The best step you can take, is to contact an Official Dojo that is near where you live. We are located in different countries. The Official Headquarters is in Valencia, Spain.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITIES?
You can come and try a custom class or participate in a classroom initiation . During the year we conducted national and international seminars where many have enjoyed the traditional practice and the vast historical and cultural knowledge, which the Central American Bugei Society strives to preserve.
IF I LIVE FAR, CAN I FOLLOW THE TRAINING?
We believe that distance is no object. Our distance learning programs offer guidance with onsite dojo study (Uchi Deshi Program).
HOW DO I BECOME A GOOD STUDENT?
We understand that a good student of Kaze no Ryu participates in all disciplines that encompass the military arts (Bugei) and the internal arts for development of the total person. To get started you do not need any prior knowledge in martial arts because we believe that the dedication and effort you invest will be what shapes your point of evolution.
The International Society Bugei (IBS) examinations are conducted in strict accordance with the traditional tests at school to progress your learning. There is parallel study for those interested in the discipline of Classical Painting in Japanese Sumi-e as well.
WHY BUGEI?
Our goal as the Central American Bugei Society is to maintain and preserve this cultural legacy that has persisted over centuries. The school provides a traditional global education, which allows us to empathize with traditional virtues, valuing people, relationships, teachings and personal stories while valuing individual personality and personal quests against superficiality, banality and futility. It is a journey of self-searching and self-recognition, character development of the individual, with personal and intimate discoveries.
HOW DO I STUDY AND TRAIN?
Our teaching methodology is based on the conceptual understanding and scientific empiricism, with detailed historical and anthropological knowledge that arises from our practice. Your learning will require maturity, and a spirit of inquiry.
Phases of Study
- Knowledge
- Study
- Training
- Improvement
We focus on training and cross-rounded education of the individual, because we believe that the man or woman should be prepared in the most excellent way as a means of survival and personal development.
DO YOU HAVE COURSES FOR POLICE SELF-DEFENSE?
To date, the Central American Bugei Society does not hold classes or courses in police training. These skills fall outside our field of work and development. The objectives of the CABS are purely cultural.
CAN I STUDY THROUGH VIDEOS?
The videos are a good reminder item or items for cataloging, but a video can not convey the essence, nor the concept of Bugei studies. Our experience with people trying to learn from videos is encouraging, however, students who distance learn only, tend to misinterpret and error on key issues that must be corrected. For the uninitiated students, we offer personal assistance services and events for direct contact to the techniques.
WHERE CAN I BUY DVD's AND BOOKS THAT ARE SPECIFIC TO THE SCHOOL?
- The Black Belt Magazine offers monthly articles written by Shidoshi Jordan Augusto and Shidoshi Juliana Galende.
- The Budo International publisher offers an interesting collection of books and dvd's of Kaze no Ryu Ogawa Ha
